I like Sara Hall because her story feels bigger than running fast. For the Love of the Grind is about staying with something through different seasons: motherhood, setbacks, pressure, injury, and the quiet daily work that no one else sees.
That feels like the part of running I relate to most: not just the race result, but the resilience it takes to keep showing up.
This feels like a good first book for this series because it is current, personal, and centered on a woman runner who has built a long career with a lot of heart.
For the Love of the Grind by Sara Hall
Series note: Caroline Kanaga Seattle running shelf.
